This past weekend I enjoyed being in a city where art is everywhere. I discovered that one of the most prominent Spanish architects has a building there. His name is Santiago Calatrava. He designed the city of arts and science in Valencia, Spain and also the Oculus. This last one is inspired by a dinosaur skeleton. It was incredible to see it from outside, but the contrast to enter and see a mall was weird. Back in Valencia, each building had a cultural function like opera, museums, botanical gardens or aquarium. However, what is more, American than using this monument and placing a mall beneath it.
